Position Summary

The Women and Gender Studies Director is an internal, 3-year term faculty appointment, beginning August 2018 (course release to be determined).

Responsibilities: Administers the Women and Gender Studies Program, including advising, scheduling, grant writing, curriculum development, committee work, advocating for gender equity; may teach senior seminar (WGS 496).

Position reports to the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must be a current CMU faculty member. Qualifications include effective communications and organizational skills, as well as teaching, research, and/or other professional activities related to Women and Gender Studies.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference given to tenured faculty member; other faculty will be considered.
