Position Summary

The Department of Management at Central Michigan University is seeking candidates for the appointment of fixed-term faculty member, to begin January 2018. Principle responsibilities include teaching two or three courses per semester (per candidate’s preference and qualifications). Initial appointment is for the 2018 Spring semester.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Management or related field; PhD student candidates with dissertation proposal defended and business professionals with MS in a business discipline or an MBA also qualify.

Teaching effectiveness: Demonstrate the competencies and expertise required to effectively teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Management (e.g., strategic management, introduction to business).

AACSB: Meet and maintain the appropriate faculty qualifications status within the AACSB framework.

Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred consideration will be given to candidates with a PhD in Management or industry experience.

A part of the College of Business Administration, which enrolls approximately 4,000 students, the Department of Management offers four majors – management, human resource management, purchasing supply management, and international business – and two minors – management and international business and sustainable development.
